DR CHIMA MATTHEW AMADI CHARGES MBAITOLI COMMUNITY MEMBERS TOWARDS 2027 ELECTION

The atmosphere at the Action Peoples Party (APP) office in Mbaitoli was filled with excitement and renewed hope as party faithful gathered to welcome and celebrate the emergence of Dr Chima Matthew Amadi, popularly known as Mazi Gburugburu, as the party’s candidate for the Owerri Zone Senatorial Seat ahead of the forthcoming election.

The event, organised by the Mbaitoli chapter of the APP, brought together party leaders, supporters, and grassroots mobilisers, who reaffirmed their commitment to securing the party's victory in the coming polls.

Speaking during the gathering, Hon. Ugochukwu Metford Nnah, Chairman of the APP in Mbaitoli Local Government, highlighted the growing acceptance of the party across the local government and beyond. According to him, the APP has continued to gain strength as several members and structures from other political parties are collapsing into the party due to its growing popularity and the credibility of its candidates.

Hon. Nnah stated that members of the party in Mbaitoli are fully committed to working tirelessly to ensure the victory of Dr Chima Matthew Amadi at the polls, describing him as a leader with the vision and capacity to restore hope to the people.

“Our people have seen the direction the APP is going, and they believe in the movement. Different political structures are collapsing into APP because they believe this is the platform that truly represents the interests of the people. We are ready to work and ensure that Dr Chima Matthew Amadi emerges victorious,” he said.

Addressing party supporters during the event, Dr Amadi described the visit as a “thank you visit” to appreciate members of the party for entrusting him with the mandate to fly the APP flag in the forthcoming senatorial election.

He expressed gratitude to party faithful for their confidence and support, assuring them that their trust would not be taken for granted.

Dr Amadi also stressed the importance of protecting the people’s votes during the election process, declaring that the era of manipulating election results against the will of the people must come to an end.

“This visit is to appreciate the party for giving me the mandate to represent APP in the forthcoming election. I thank everyone for the confidence reposed in me,” he stated.

“This time around, we will not allow them to write results for us again. The people must decide their future, and their votes must count.”

Speaking further, Dr Amadi compared developments in other South-East states with the situation in Imo State, insisting that the time had come for responsible and people-oriented leadership to emerge.

“If something different is happening in Enugu and Abia States, then what is happening in Imo State shows that evil people are in power. But the righteous people will take over because when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice,” he declared.

The event ended with chants of solidarity and renewed commitment from party members who pledged to continue mobilising support for the APP and Dr Chima Matthew Amadi ahead of the elections.
