DR CHIMA AMADI URGES MBAITOLI WOMEN TO ABSTAIN FROM VOTE-SELLING, PROMISES A NEW APPROACH TO GOVERNANCE

Dr Chima Matthew Amadi has urged women in Mbaitoli to reject the practice of selling their votes and instead use their voting power to elect leaders who will genuinely improve people's lives.

Dr Amadi made the call during his August Meeting engagements with women at St Mary Parish, Ubomiri, and St Mark’s Anglican Church, Ogwa, both in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State.

At Ubomiri, Hon Henry Onwukwe encouraged the women to take the message to every household and street, urging them to mobilise their families and communities to come out and vote for Dr Chima Amadi on January 16, 2027.

He stressed that everyone must participate in the electoral process, noting that meaningful change requires the collective involvement of the people.

Addressing the women, Dr Amadi reminded them that whenever communities and groups invite him, he makes himself available to answer their call.

He said the difficult conditions confronting ordinary people across the state could no longer be ignored, pointing to the inability of many families to afford basic needs, as well as the poor condition of schools and healthcare facilities.

According to him, funds meant for providing these essential services are sometimes diverted or mismanaged, leaving the people to suffer the consequences.

Dr Amadi therefore appealed to the women not to sell their votes, stressing that the current situation in the country and state is partly a consequence of electing ineffective leaders.

He maintained that the vote remains one of the most powerful tools available to citizens to determine who governs them and the kind of society they want to build.

Dr Amadi promised that, if elected, he would prioritise the improvement of schools and healthcare facilities, noting that many lives have been lost because ordinary people are unable to access basic healthcare.

He also supported the Ubomiri community's hall and skill acquisition centre project with ₦6 million.

At Ogwa, the women similarly expressed their support for Dr Amadi, promising to walk with him on his journey to the Senate. They pledged a block of 50,000 votes from the women and the community in support of his candidacy.

Dr Amadi expressed appreciation to the women for waiting to receive and listen to him, saying their presence demonstrated the growing support for his message and movement.

He observed that his ongoing engagements across communities have revealed the extent of the challenges confronting Imo State, particularly in the areas of education and healthcare.

According to him, virtually every community visited has one form of difficulty or another, with dilapidated schools and healthcare facilities becoming a common feature.

He said the situation was evidence that the government had failed to adequately provide the basic services citizens deserve.

Dr Amadi also supported the Ogwa women's project with ₦2 million, reaffirming his commitment to supporting community-driven initiatives and empowering local communities.

The August Meeting engagements further provided an opportunity for Dr Amadi to connect directly with women across Mbaitoli, listen to their concerns and reiterate his call for citizens to take ownership of the political process by making informed choices at the polls.
