DR CHIMA AMADI TAKES 2027 CONSULTATION TOUR TO UZOAGBA, URGES IMO PEOPLE TO EMBRACE CHANGE.

As part of his ongoing grassroots consultation and mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 elections, Dr Chima Matthew Amadi visited Uzoagba in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State, where he met with members of the Action People's Party (APP) and The Mazi Organisation (TMO).

The meeting attracted party faithful, supporters, and community stakeholders. Before speaking, Dr Amadi led the gathering in prayer, seeking God's guidance, wisdom, and protection for the people of Imo State and for the journey ahead.

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Dr Amadi formally reiterated that he is contesting under the platform of the Action People's Party (APP), a party he said has provided him with the opportunity to pursue a people-oriented vision for the state.

Speaking on the state of governance in Imo, the APP chieftain challenged residents to critically assess the impact of successive administrations on their daily lives. According to him, despite nearly three decades of democratic governance, many communities across the state continue to struggle with basic infrastructure and social services.

"For the past 27 years, our people have consistently participated in elections and entrusted leaders with the mandate to govern. The question remains: what tangible benefits have the people received in return?" he asked.

Dr Amadi lamented what he described as the absence of essential public amenities despite the huge allocations accruing to the state. He pointed to the poor condition of roads, inadequate healthcare facilities, and the lack of functional hospitals and health centres as evidence that the people have largely been left to fend for themselves.

He argued that the current realities in many communities call for a new approach to leadership and governance, urging residents to consider an alternative political direction.

"After all these years, if the results are still the same, then perhaps it is time for us to try a different way. It is time to embrace a new vision that puts the people first and ensures that government resources work for the benefit of the citizens," he said.

The renowned development advocate also used the opportunity to emphasise the importance of voter participation. He urged all eligible citizens to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), stressing that political change can only be achieved when people actively participate in the electoral process.

Dr Amadi described voter registration as both a civic responsibility and a vital tool for shaping the future of Imo State, encouraging residents who have not yet obtained their PVCs to do so without delay.

In a further demonstration of his appreciation for the overwhelming reception accorded him, Dr. Chima Matthew Amadi announced a donation of ₦7 million to be shared equally among those present at the gathering. The gesture was met with excitement and gratitude from the attendees, who described it as a reflection of his commitment to supporting the people at the grassroots. Dr. Amadi also assured the community that his engagement with them would not end with the consultation visit, promising to return in August when the official campaign activities commence, to further deepen discussions on his vision for the development of Owerri Zone and Imo State at large.

The visit to Uzoagba forms part of Dr Amadi's wider consultation tour across communities in Imo State as he continues to engage with citizens, articulate his vision for development, and rally support ahead of the 2027 elections.
